All live stock is shipped by a premium express courier service (which usually takes between 24-48 hours to arrive at your door). Orders are only shipped on Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday’s. Your order must be in by 4.00 pm Sunday for your order to go the following week. Orders after the cut off time will go Monday, Tuesday Wednesday the next week (to guarantee live shipping, fish need to be fasted and purged for 3 days prior to shipping.) We carefully pack our fish in insulated foam boxes and clean water and pure oxygen are used to ensure the fish are kept at pristine heath. We include specialized heat packs during the cooler months, to ensure the fish have a constant temperature, so to ensure their health and well-being.
All items will be shipped with tracking numbers with orders being shipped directly to your door step, work or another physical address (orders cannot be shipped to post office boxes.
Our couriers are instructed to leave you order in a safe place if nobody is available to sign for it, but this may void our Arrive alive Guarantee if fish attended for a long period of time.
At the moment we cannot ship life stock to the Northern Territory. We now offer air port to airport services for regional and western states please contact us for competitive quote prior to checkout.
Flat rate shipping
$9.90 for Dry Goods and $35.00 for life stock free shipping for orders over $250.00 subject to terms and conditions.
We ship using Fast ways couriers premium road service East coast and to regional and west coast and regional areas we use toll priority or toll Ipec.
All orders are cleared and process daily Monday to Friday most orders are shipped within 24 hours.
Upon placing an order we will send a confirmation email advising that we have received your order.
When your order has been picked and packed a confirmation email advising the tracking number.
Some large bulky items or heavy items to certain locations are unable to be sent and are therefore excluded from our flat rate shipping policy and will be shown in store pick up and if you would like us to freight it to you please contact us as we might be able to offer you an alternative solution at an additional cost.
We offer an arrive alive delivery guarantee on all of our fish, and in the circumstance that a customer may be unfortunate in losing a fish on arrival. It is advised that a photo be taken of the fish in the unopened shipping bag that it arrived in and an email be send within an hour of delivery to us at firstname.lastname@example.org which, a refund or a store credit will be provided for the unfortunate customer, provided the customer meets the requirements of the Arrive Alive terms and conditions.
Returns and replacements
Due to the complicated packaging and shipping procedures involved in handling live fish, and our commitment to the heath and safety of all our specimens we cannot accept any returns. Thus it is strongly advised that customer make their selection carefully.
Other things to consider:
Ensure you have enough room in you tank for the quantity of fish and also that your tank is large enough when your fish matures.
Has your tank been fully cycled?
Ensure water parameters and tank habitat are suitable for your new fish and the temperature is correct for the type of species you wish to introduce (please read the detailed description of each species to help reach these requirements to ensure the implacable health of your fish).
Ensure your new fish will be compatible with other tank mates (i.e. size , species and behaviours etc.).
Do not feed your new fish for 24 hours, as they will need time to settle in and feel safe. Feeding too early can pose a risk to their health and may upset the water quality of your tank (If concerned about previous fish in existing tank, please ensure that those fish are feed before the introduction of new fish).
Do not over stock your new tank too quickly, as this can upset your water parameters, as you biological system may not handle a large addition of fish added at once.
Don’t be alarmed if upon arrival your fish look pale or lethargic. This is normal behaviour while in transit and they should return to full color after settling into their new home within a couple of days.
